How Do
I Feel About Gaza?
We all live
in the world where horrendous events can occur. At the same time for some it
may be peaceful, a gentle sun warming the skin, a breeze rustling the hair.
What about the other places?
I am in a rage, boiling with anger. Some may
be weary of my anger? Why should you, they, care about my anger? The sun mat
may still shining around you. You have may things to do, people are waiting.
Someone has to make dinner. Someone has to go to class. Someone has to go to
work. You may be watching a program, reading a book!
You don’t
know those people you may have heard about whose throats were cut, or know of the
babies whose heads were chopped off, or have seen those women who were raped
and paraded around, those old people burned alive in their homes and the youngsters
at the songfest fusilladed as they ran.
Are those hundreds
of hostages taken still alive. How many are dead? The IDF checked the DNA of
200 bodies found in the main Gaza hospital and found two identified as Israeli
hostages. Are there others?
Just doing
what comes natural for Hamas folks going on about their business. You know we
are terrorists, after all! What! You expect civilized behavior? You just don’t
know who we are!
Getting lots
of advice! Isn’t it time to act with restraint? What’s done is done! What about
those poor Palestinians being held as human shields, what about them? Haven’t
they suffered enough? Shouldn’t we spare Gazans even if that is precisely why
they are there, to protect the guilty terrorist murderers so they can do what
they have done again and again?
What about those Gazans? The Israelis
were supplying electricity and water, letting food supplies in every day,
giving thousands employment. What did Hamas do for them in return for their support?
Has there ever been the breath of opposition - except for competition for a
place at the trough? Perhaps the Palestinians shared Hamas objectives, making
the Middle East judenrein. Those who
were given jobs by Israel served as willing spies for Hamas.
Just a
little pogrom like we’re used to in Europe. Those Jews, it’s their own fault
for being asleep at the switch. They thought they were so smart. If you leave
your doors so easy to open, whose fault is it? The terrorists (funded and
advised by Iran, funded by Qatar,) planned their assault. The hostages,
shouldn’t they be our first concern, isn’t that why Hamas took them? So
concerned about them that we should let the guilty off with just a slap on the
wrist?
Shouldn’t we
call our enemies to negotiate for us because they are the only people the
terrorists will talk to? What about the poor Palestinians hiding in the
hospitals and the babies in incubators? Oh ,oh, Israelis brought in incubators
for them!
Where were
people when they were suffering under Hamas? Not a word off concern, or for the
thousands of Moslems slaughtered the last few years all over the Middle East.
It’s only important if those pesky Jews might do it. Double standards anyone!
Gosh, look
at those IDF soldiers bringing in what’s needed! Look at the IDF protecting
Gazans from Hamas shooting to prevent them from fleeing the areas of danger.
But whatever it is, it’s not enough if the Jews are doing it.
Did you see the arms stored by Hamas in the Al
Shifa hospital? Did you see the tunnel entrance in the hospital that the IDF
blew up so they couldn’t pop up to kill IDF soldiers? Do you understand why no one, i.e. the U.N., in
Gaza dares to tell the truth about how Hamas was running things? Did you hear
them lie about the real situation? What are the real figures on casualties and
how many are dead terrorists?
So I am
still very angry and I want to see Hamas gone. Why are so many worrying about
the Palestinians when no-one complained about the thousands of killings in
Syria, in Iraq, Yeman and in Ethiopia? What about the women killed in Iran for
not wearing a scarf? Where are the crowds, the protests? Why is it only when
Jews are involved defending themselves that there are public demonstrations and
politicians calling for ceasefires?
Don’t
non-Jews of various persuasions realize that they would be next? Jews are the
canaries in the coal mine. Some countries in Europe are already half-way there.
The U.K chose the economic cost of BREXIT to try to save themselves.
Looking for
fresh solutions! No Arab country wants to play a role. Does anybody remember that Israel left Gaza so
they could govern themselves? Does anybody know of any Arab democracy we could
copy? The Squad in the U.S. Congress clearly believes Hamas is compatible with
U.S. democracy. They are morally bankrupt, as is the P.A. The Palestinian
Authority is a failure, paying Palestinians to kill Jews, and failing, after so
many years, to create an economy that improves the lives of its people. Billions
have gone to corruption. No future there!
Yesterday I
read an article by Husseign Aboubakr Mansour*. He admits to the world that the
Free Palestine movement condones the indiscriminate killing of Jews. Free
Palestine, from the river to the sea, simply means the total eradication of
Israel, another Holocaust. Their spokesmen say it only in Arabic. Why should we
be surprised at the Hamas action? What we saw is an accurate representation of the immoral 7th Century
philosophy underlying the Free Palestine message and the thinking of Islamic
fanatics. Aren’t you angry too?
How can
Islam be a religion of peace when the narrative is driven by the extremists? Enough
of the fairy tales about a two-state solution! Biden must stop dreaming in
technicolor!
So, I told
you how I feel. How do you feel?
