RHYMES

                                      RHYMES

Shall I tell you stories, all in skipping rhyme

About your life and mine, and passing time?

When world’s event make me weeping blue,

I cheer me up, I think of you.

The words can carry news profound,

Firing men’s minds the world around,

Or gentle thought, like new-wound fleece,

Bring a fevered mind to blessed peace.

Mark you well the power of rhyme

To sway men’s minds and alter time.
